The Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) is a hospital that has been specializing in the treatment and research of cancer using radiation since 1963. Starting with the first radiation cancer treatment in Korea, the hospital opened the age of no-bleeding cancer surgery through Cyberknife surgery and introduced state-of-the-art surgery robots to lead the revolutionary cancer diagnosis and treatment sector in Korea based on precise cancer surgery. The hospital has established an effective collaboration system, like the multidisciplinary treatment between the members of the medical staff who specialize in cancer, and offers each patient customized treatment services by operating diverse cancer treatment divisions, including the women’s carcinogenesis center, which consists of the thyroid cancer center and breast cancer center. As a government-funded institute, the KIRAMS is steadily improving its cancer treatment based on diverse and fundamental research outcomes. Participation in the technical tour will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
